Hubergroup Inaugurates New Solvent-Based Gecko Ink Mixing Station

Hubergroup Print Solutions recently inaugurated a mixing station in Saint-Sigolène, France. The mixing station is dedicated to solvent-based Gecko inks and includes on-site storage, mixing, technical support and a laboratory. This marks an important milestone for the French printing and packaging industry.

By investing in this new mixing station, hubergroup underlines the importance of the French market for the company. Located in Saint-Sigolène, one of the most important packaging clusters in France, Hubergroup has a short-term capacity of around 100 tonnes/year and growth potential. The cluster accounts for nearly 50% of the extrusion business in France. Local packaging companies benefit from shorter delivery routes, faster delivery and on-site technical service - even in the event of breakdowns or special color requests.

The new mixing station is designed specifically for flexible packaging manufacturers. The product portfolio offers a wide range of options for designing smart and environmentally friendly packaging products. These include the nitrobenzene-free Gecko Platinum series of polyurethane ranges, deinking solutions and support for printing with nitrobenzene-compliant inks. To provide customers with everything they need to produce sustainable flexible packaging, hubergroup also offers a wide range of varnishes, barrier coatings, primers, white coatings, additives and lamination adhesives to meet customer needs.
