Eastman and Huafon Chemical to Establish Cellulose Acetate Yarn Production Plant in China
Eastman announced a strategic partnership with Huafon Chemical to jointly build a cellulose acetate filament production facility. The facility will be dedicated to localized production and product innovation of Eastman's Naia cellulose acetate filament in China.
Ruth Farrell, General Manager of Eastman's Textile Business, said, "China is the world's largest textile supply chain center and a frontier for product and technological innovation. This strategic partnership will provide us with increased production capacity, further enhance our innovation and product development capabilities for Naia yarn, and help Eastman deliver on its brand promise of making sustainable textiles accessible to all."
This partnership demonstrates Eastman's long-term commitment to the Chinese market and further strengthens its market position in China through more agile supply chain response to meet the region's demand for high-quality, innovative, and sustainable textile materials.
