I. Price Trends

According to the commodity market analysis system, the isopropyl alcohol (IPA) market prices in China first increased and then decreased in September, with a slight overall increase. On September 1st, the average price of IPA in China was 5,608.33 CNY/ton, and by September 28th, it had risen to an average of 5,633.33 CNY/ton, representing a 0.45% increase from the beginning of the month.

In September, the isopropyl alcohol market price in China first increased and then decreased. Regarding the raw material acetone, the Chinese acetone market fluctuated and declined in September. The average price of acetone on September 1st was 4,520 CNY/ton, and by September 28th, it had decreased to an average of 4,435 CNY/ton, a reduction of 1.88%. Currently, the acetone market is at a low level, with no significant changes on the supply side, and a slight improvement in demand, while the spot price continues to oscillate within a certain range.

Regarding the raw material propylene, in September, the Chinese propylene market fluctuated and fell. On September 1st, the market average was 6,643.25 CNY/ton, while on August 29th, the average price was 6,623.25 CNY/ton, with a price decrease of 0.3%. Currently, there is an expectation of increased supply in the market, and downstream buyers are purchasing at low prices as needed. Both trading parties are mainly observing the market cautiously, and the market is mainly undergoing a period of consolidation.

Currently, the trading atmosphere in the isopropanol market is weak, and actual transactions are cautious, making it difficult for trading volumes to be released.
