ROHM Asia Technology Center settled in Shanghai
On August 6, ROHM held the opening ceremony of the Asian Technology Center at the Shanghai International Innovation Center for New Chemical Materials (INNOGREEN). Ma Jing, Director of the Management Committee of Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, and Ling Hongen, President of ROHM Asia, attended the ceremony and cut the ribbon. ROHM Group CEO Michael Pack and Group Supervisory Board Chairman Yu Dahai attended the ceremony via video conference.
The new ROHM Asia Technology Center is located in the INNOGREEN Park of Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, covering an area of 1,000 square meters. The part currently put into use is the first phase, focusing on the application technology and R&D laboratory of the molding compound business. The second phase, which includes the laboratories of Rohm general monomer and methacrylic resin business, is expected to be completed in the middle of next year.
The world's largest PMMA consumer market is concentrated in China and other parts of Asia. At the same time, PMMA consumes more than 50% of the world's MMA (methyl methacrylate) production capacity. As the world's leading methacrylate integrated company, ROHM has established an Asian technology center in Shanghai to speed up response, provide customers with closer technical support, and meet customers' needs for developing innovative design applications.
In the future, relying on the advantages of the Asian Technology Center, ROHM will strengthen communication with direct customers and OEMs, provide local technical support, help customers develop innovative designs and applications, and make efforts in markets such as penetrating taillights, colorful ambient lights, and home smart lighting. , To accelerate the realization of achievement transformation.
