Cargill acquires Arkema's epoxidized vegetable oil business
American agribusiness Cargill said on the 27th that it will acquire Arkema's epoxidized vegetable oil business. The acquisition will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021.
Arkema said the business is valued at US$38.8 million, which is 10 times its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization).
The business has sales of US$40 million per year and includes a factory in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, USA. It combines soybean oil and other vegetable oils with hydrogen peroxide to produce epoxides.
