Topsoe Wins The Bid for The Largest Investment Project of Baling Petrochemical

Recently, Baling Petrochemical Company announced that Topsoe won the bid as the catalyst supplier in the bidding for the supply of sulfuric acid catalysts for the company's caprolactam industry chain relocation and upgrading and transformation development project.

The caprolactam industrial chain project won by Topsoe this time, with a total investment of nearly 14 billion yuan, is the largest investment project in the history of Baling Petrochemical. The project is located in Yueyang Green Chemical Industrial Park, Hunan Province. It is a key project of Sinopec Group, a key project of Hunan Province and a "Five 100" major industrial project. The project includes a production capacity of 660,000 tons/year of sulfuric acid and 33,000 tons/year of hydrogen sulfide to acid. It is expected to be completed and put into operation in the spring of 2023. This is the second Baling Petrochemical construction project that Topsoe has participated in. It will supply Topsoe VK series sulfuric acid catalysts to Baling Petrochemical within the scope of the contract.

At present, Topsoe's VK series sulfuric acid catalysts include a variety of different models and specifications, which can meet the production needs of any sulfuric acid plant. So far, more than 250 sets of sulfuric acid catalysts have been sold in the Chinese market.
