Squire was founded by Dave Salvant and Songe LaRon in 2016. Headquartered in New York, it is a management platform for men's barbershop. It can not only find out the barbershop where consumers are located, understand the evaluation of other customers to barbers, Book various services, but also help barbershops and independent barbers. The barber manages his shop. After using Squire service, hairdressers can easily manage inventory, make online appointments, and pay employees'salaries and tips in a timely and accurate manner.

In order to better serve hairdressers, Squire also provides a variety of membership services for barbershops of different sizes and needs. After paying a membership fee of $30 to $250 a month, the barber shop can enjoy all kinds of services customized by Squire. For example: customized app, business data analysis, gift card management system and so on. In addition, hairdressers can get Squire's specially customized portable POS machine, which makes it easier to collect money. Within three years of its founding, Squire has been operating in 28 cities in the United States, Canada and Australia, with a total transaction value of over US$100 million. Squire says its services are particularly popular with consumers in developed cities. At first, Squire offered free services, but when they realized that consumers were willing to pay for such services, they created a comprehensive membership service of different levels. Songe LaRon, co-founder of Squire, said that in the process of communicating with consumers, they realized that Squire's back-end management services actually had a lot of room for development. While the service is upgrading, consumers are willing to pay for these convenient services. Consumers sometimes doubt the authenticity of the service if they don't charge a single cent. Schwark Satyavolu, general manager of Trinity Ventures, said that Squire was highly efficient and its business model was attractive, attracting many barbershops to join their platform. In the future, Squire may apply this business model to other fields, but at present, they still hope to continue to develop the business of barber shops, and they are very optimistic about the $20 billion male cosmetic market.
