People with higher IQ are 28% more likely to wear glasses than the general population. Researchers emphasized that this result does not mean that all people with vision problems must have high IQ. The study points out that myopic people tend to have higher IQ than other people wearing glasses, whereas hyperopic people scored lower in the test. In addition, the results also showed that there was a genetic correlation between cognitive function and cardiovascular disease.
