After July, the price of eggs has changed from the previous downturn and continued to rise. On July 14, a reporter visited Weifang, Shandong Province, and found that in the last week, eggs were priced one day and had entered the "5 yuan zone". Many citizens listen to the price, reducing the amount of purchases, and some people worry that the price of eggs will continue to rise, busy hoarding. As the price of eggs rose, farmers finally turned their losses into profits. On July 14, a reporter visited many farm markets and supermarkets in Weifang City, and found that the price of eggs had increased significantly. The unit price of eggs had exceeded 5 yuan and 1 kg, which was much higher than the previous few days. Several vendors said that the price of eggs had risen considerably, with a rise of 56 cents per kilogram in a week. Journalists came to Sun Jiaji to see that not many eggs were sold. One of the stalls was surrounded by many citizens who were choosing fresh eggs. "It's going to rain soon. Eggs are cheaper. Five yuan a kilo..." The stall owner introduced to you that in recent days, the price of eggs has risen too fast, and she also goes along with the market. The retail price of eggs in the early spring garden market is about 5.1 yuan per kilogram. "A week ago, eggs were only about 4.3 yuan per kilogram, and then they were priced one day, up to 5.2 yuan per kilogram now." Mr. Ma, a trader, said that such prices were beyond their imagination. It was not uncommon for eggs to cost more than 5 yuan, and it was not clear how long they would last.

Mr. Ma told reporters that in February and March after the Spring Festival, the price of eggs continued to fall to a low point, and the retail price of eggs in the market was about 3 yuan per kilogram, which was also a low price that had not appeared for many years. "It was not as expensive as some vegetables. Prices began to rise in June, especially in July. Mr. Ma said. Xiao Shifu Zhao, a trader selling eggs in Nanxia River Market, told reporters that in half a month, the price of eggs had risen by 34%. At the end of June, the price of eggs was less than 4 yuan per kilogram. After entering July, the price of eggs had risen steadily. "In the past summer, it will also rise, but generally one month before the Mid-Autumn Festival, this year's price rise is a little early." Master Zhao said.

Reporters came to the egg sales area of Darun Fat Kuiwendian store and saw that many citizens lined up to wait for eggs to be purchased. On that day, the price of eggs is 5 yuan per kilogram and the membership price is 4.28 yuan, but there is a limit on the number of purchases.

"I remember that a few days ago it was more than four yuan and a catty, but now it's more than five yuan." Ms. Wang, a citizen who is buying eggs, said that eggs are necessities of life, especially for children who need to eat one every day. Even if the price rises, they will not reduce their purchases.

In the early spring garden market, some citizens asked about the price of eggs and then turned around and left. Others reduced their purchases.

At Nanxia River Market, there are many citizens gathering around wholesale egg vendors to buy eggs. Because the price of eggs keeps rising, some people begin to store eggs in advance.

"Eggs are indispensable to family life. I heard that there will be a price increase in the near future. I rushed to buy 10 kilograms and went home to put them in the refrigerator." Ms. Zheng, a resident of the Xinghecheng District in Chenlong, told reporters that some old ladies in the district also kept eggs in reserve.

In this regard, trader Zhao Shifu told reporters that when eggs are cheap, people usually buy them as they eat. On the contrary, when prices rise, some people will increase their purchases. "Now just entering the dog days, with the temperature rising, there is still room for the price of eggs to rise." Master Zhao said.

At that time, the wholesale price of the farm was about 2.7 yuan per kilogram, a big drop compared with before the festival. The price of eggs has fallen below the break-even point of less than 3 yuan, which is the last thing they want to see. Every catty of eggs sold will be compensated by 78 cents. If not sold, more will be compensated. At that time, the only way to make a profit is to lose money.

Aquaculture farmers are waiting anxiously for the price to rise earlier. Waiting for three months, the price of eggs finally rose. Among them, the price of eggs was still relatively low in May. The price of eggs increased obviously in June, and the retail price went into the range of 4 yuan at once, but this round of price increase did not end.

Xuan Enxun, a laying hen farmer in Wangliu Street, Weicheng District, told reporters that the price increase in July was the largest, especially in the last week, which was almost one price a day. Among them, on July 10, the price of eggs wholesaled from the farm was 4.5 yuan per catty, and then increased by a dime a day, reaching 4.9 yuan on the 14th, which is rare.

"After months of waiting, the laying hens are making money again." Xuan Enxun told reporters that according to the current situation of laying hen farming, the break-even point is 3.5 yuan per catty, that is to say, if the price of eggs is less than 3.5 yuan, it means losing money. Now the price is over 1.4 yuan, so the profits of farmers are considerable.

Many breeders found that the change cycle of egg price was more and more obvious, and there was a shortening trend. In addition to the change rule in the past few years, it also experienced several big ups and downs. At the beginning of this year, the price of eggs fell to a low point, and then rose again. By early July, the price of eggs was still rising. This "egg cycle" has been going on.
