Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 6.3% year-on-year

In the first half of this year, GDP grew by 6.3% year on year. The economic "semi-annual report" of 2019 came out recently, and China's GDP in the first half exceeded 45 trillion yuan. Such achievements are not easy to come by. Many netizens praise the Chinese economy with the word "stability".
Recently, at a news conference on the operation of the national economy in the first half of this year held by the State New Office of Statistics, Mao Shengyong, director and spokesman of the General Statistics Division of the National Economy of the State Statistical Bureau, said frankly that, in the case of a relatively complex domestic external situation, China's economic growth remained generally stable, steady and progressive in the first half of this year. Situation, the main macroeconomic indicators are operating in a reasonable range, and the economic structure is also being optimized and adjusted. In Mao Shengyong's view, GDP growth rate of 6.3% is not easy to come by, which is a "speed with high gold content" and a "speed with strong support". A series of data from the National Bureau of Statistics confirm this statement and highlight the resilience and vitality of China's economy. It is not only the livelihood indicators such as employment, price, income, etc. perform well. In the first half of the year, the added value of industries above the national scale increased by 6.0% year on year. The added value of industrial strategic emerging industries increased by 7.7% and that of high-tech manufacturing by 9.0%. With investment growth basically stable, tertiary industry investment increased by 7.4%, of which infrastructure investment increased by 4.1%. Investment in high-tech manufacturing and services increased by 10.4% and 13.5% year on year.
The growth rate of added value of high-tech manufacturing and strategic emerging industries is obviously higher than that of industries above scale, which has become one of the highlights of economic data in the first half of the year, reflecting the continuous improvement of the quality of China's economic development and the acceleration of the pace towards the high end of the value chain. Mobile communication equipment, new energy vehicles, artificial intelligence and a number of new products and new technologies are becoming new highlights of economic growth. By the end of 2018, the global total sales of new energy vehicles had exceeded 5.64 million, with China accounting for 52.8%, ranking first in the world for four consecutive years.
Let's turn our attention to the frequently headlined topic of "5G". On June 6, China officially issued 5G commercial licenses, which means the opening of 5G commercial year. As a new generation of information infrastructure innovation in the world, the development of 5G will support the expansion of application scenarios from mobile Internet to mobile Internet of Things. At present, China's 5G mid-frequency system equipment, terminal chips, smart phones are in the first echelon of the global industry.
The Statistical Bulletin of National Economic and Social Development 2018 shows that in 2018, the expenditure on R& (D) in China was 1965.7 billion yuan, an increase of 11.6% over the previous year, and the ratio of R& to GDP was 2.18%. Among them, the expenditure on basic research was 111.8 billion yuan.
With the continuous increase of investment in innovation, scientific and technological innovation is injecting strong momentum into China's economy. The total R&D personnel in China ranks the first in the world, the whole society's R&D investment is the second in the world, and the "Global Innovation Index 2018" ranks the seventeenth. The number of patent applications and authorizations for inventions ranks the first in the world. The role of science and technology as the "first driving force" of innovation-driven development is becoming increasingly prominent.
On May 23, a prototype of High-speed Maglev Test Vehicle with a speed of 600 kilometers per hour was launched in Qingdao, filling in the gap of travel speed between air and high-speed railway passenger transport.
The world's largest single terminal, five 10,000 square meters of "sky garden", the highest degree of intelligence, the New World (7.190, 0.00, 0.00%) the first of the seven miracles... On June 30, the main project of Beijing Daxing International Airport, which has many halos, was completed and is scheduled to sail in three months. Daxing International Airport has created a number of "world's largest", behind which is the support of a number of "Chinese technology". The resilience and vitality of China's economy also comes from the continuous improvement of the innovation environment. At present, more than 70% of technological innovation in China comes from SMEs. Enterprises take the initiative to innovate, the government strives to create a fair competitive market environment and a good atmosphere for innovation, helping enterprises to light up. The "big goal" of reducing taxes and fees by 2 trillion yuan is shifting from "going out of policy" to "grasping implementation"; relaxing market access, optimizing business environment; breaking administrative barriers and allowing all kinds of innovative factors to flow freely... How are the tax reduction and fee reduction policies implemented? A few days ago, the State Administration of Taxation dispatched 36 inspection teams to strictly inspect and urge tax reduction and fee reduction to take root. "As a technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises, tax reduction and fee reduction policy is the best'angel investment', to boost the development of enterprises. Liu Cuiyun, the financial director of Anhui Aerospace Biotechnology Co., Ltd., said that since this year, enterprises have received more than 340,000 tax reductions thanks to favorable policies such as VAT reduction rate and land use tax reduction.
Unforgetting empowerment. On July 22, Kechuang board, which attracts much attention, welcomed the first listing of 25 new shares. Establishing the technology innovation board and pilot registration system is an important breakthrough for deepening the reform of capital market in an all-round way. It mainly undertakes the mission of supporting the development and growth of technology innovation enterprises with high development potential and market recognition, as well as giving full play to the reform pilot field. At the same time, China has nearly 1.4 billion people, 900 million labor force, more than 170 million people with higher education and professional skills; the largest middle-income group in the world, more than 100 million market players.
Faced with the complex external environment and downward pressure of the economy, we also have a strong domestic market, huge opportunities brought about by the upgrading of consumption, strong driving force of scientific and technological innovation, macro-economic policies such as monetary, fiscal and industrial policies still have a greater space for development, which is the bottom of China's economy to maintain a stable, progressive, stable and good bottom.
