Acomar buys Lambson to expand Sartomer's product supply

Acomar said it would buy Lambson, a Wetherby-based maker of specialty chemicals, which advertises itself on its website as a global supplier of raw material solutions. According to Acomar's press release, Lambson specializes in curing light inhibitors, supplying markets for electronic products, 3D printing, digital ink, composite materials and high performance coatings. These products will complement Akma's Satomer division, which Akma describes as "the global player in light-cured resins".
Acomar said that the acquisition will also accelerate the development of Sartomer in the light-cured resin market and strengthen the product portfolio of Sartomer.
Acomar expects to complete the transaction in the fourth quarter of 2019, subject to the approval of the relevant national antitrust agencies. It did not disclose the purchase price or other terms. In late July, Acomar disclosed that its adhesive department, Bostik, was acquiring PROCHIMIR, a French company specializing in the production of high-performance thermal viscoses. In March, Sartomer established an internal electron beam laboratory at its R&D centers in France and the United States.
