Tangshan: The price of seafood is falling, Portunus crab plays a leading role
"Sea crab 100 yuan 5 jin!" On August 14, the reporter came to Tangshan Shenghua aquatic products wholesale market and found that with the end of the fishing suspension period in the southern coastal areas, a large number of seafood were on the market, and the prices of all kinds of seafood in Tangshan City were also reduced. At present, the price of Portuguese crab is relatively close to the people. While the citizens are satisfied with their food, the businessmen also make a lot of money. On the morning of Aug. 14, journalists at Shenghua Aquatic Products Wholesale Market saw a dazzling array of aquatic products, such as shrimp, crab, shellfish and clams. The seafood stalls here were very lively. Fresh Portunus crab meat is of good quality and affordable price, which is very popular with the public. More than half of the stalls are selling Portuguese crabs, and the seafood market has basically become the world of Portuguese crabs. According to different specifications, the price varies from 15 yuan per kilogram to 40 yuan per kilogram.
"This season is when crabs are eaten, and the price is low, 20 yuan a kilo. Today, I bought a lot of crabs and shrimps. Most of them were mailed to relatives from other places. I had some lunch left. According to Mr. Liu, he usually likes seafood. He came from Yutian to buy more seafood that day.
According to Mr. Feng, the merchant, most of the sea crabs sold on the market come from Zhejiang and Fujian. With the end of the fishing suspension period in the southern coastal areas, a large number of sea crabs are listed and enter the peak season of sales. "Ten days ago, we had to pay 50 to 70 yuan per kilo for this crab. Now better selling 100 yuan 3 jin, generally 100 yuan 4 kg, 5 kg. It sells a lot today. Mr. Feng is happy to say that the price of seafood has been lowered, which has led to a strong market consumption, and he can also take the path of low profits and high sales.
Mr. Shang, a businessman, mainly deals in Portuguese crabs. He told reporters that "due to Typhoon Limagi, there was a short shortage of sea crabs a few days ago." However, the current volume of shipments is large, according to the market, prices may fall in the next two or three days, but there will be no significant price reduction. On average, Mr. Du, a citizen who buys seafood twice a week, was greedy with crabs for several days because of the typhoon. "Crabs can't be bought two days ago. Today, he ordered 8 kilograms of Portunus crabs in advance with his boss."
"The price of sea crab this year is basically the same as that of the same period last year." Mr. Shang said that in September, after the end of the fishing suspension period in Tangshan, local Portunus crabs will also enter the market. Meanwhile, seafood such as skin shrimp, fish and shellfish will also enter the market in large quantities. At that time, the types of Shanghai products on the dining tables of the citizens will be more abundant. In contrast, shellfish stalls such as clams, scallops and other shellfish are rather deserted. According to the stall owner Ms. Li, due to the large number of Portunus crabs on the market, shellfish seafood sales are not ideal. "In the past six months, shellfish seafood prices have been on the high side, so retail prices have remained high, especially conch, because of the small supply, this year's prices are on the high side. People buy mostly clams and clams.
