CBD components have attracted much attention in the global cosmetics market.

With the approval of an American Agricultural Bill containing cannabidiol, hereinafter referred to as CBD, products containing CBD ingredients are becoming a hot topic in the global cosmetics market. In December last year, the Agricultural Act was approved by the federal government. CBD (THC content is less than 0.3%) extracted from cannabis, which contains almost no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), was excluded from cannabis control and further legalized. CBD, which has been rapidly applied in the fields of food, beverage and cosmetics, is expanding.
According to Future Market Insights, the global CBD skin care market will reach 645 million US dollars in 2019, with an average annual growth rate of 33% by 2027. Cannabis sativa oil is one of the best-selling products in CBD skin care market. It is expected that the market will continue to expand.
Cannabis plant is widely known as hemp, Cannabis sativa and marijuana, Cannabis indica. Both cannabis plants contain tetrahyd rocannabinol (THC) and cannabis diphenol (CBD, cannabis iol).
KORTA US Pavilion said that marijuana contains a large amount of THC, which can make people excited, illusory and injure the nervous system. The federal law of the United States classified such marijuana into the first class controlled drugs, like heroin heroin and cocaine cocaine. Cannabinol extracted from industrial cannabis has no effect on the nervous system, but can relieve pain, reduce and alleviate inflammation, stabilize mood, improve sleep, and cosmetic and personal hygiene-related effects.
The advertisement claims that cannabis sativa oil (or hemp oil) contains cannabis diphenol, but almost does not contain THC, which has anti-aging and calming effects. Recently, with the increasing attention of consumers to natural cosmetics and CBD cosmetics, new brands and products using the beneficial effects of cannabis have emerged. CBD products have become the hottest topic in the US cosmetics and personal care products market and attracted much attention.
According to a survey of 2000 American consumers'knowledge of cannabis conducted by market research agency A.T. Kearney, about 50% of respondents wanted to try CBD cosmetic products. Related to the background of the popularity of CBD cosmetic products, the most popular trend in the US cosmetic market recently is natural ingredients, ingredient transparency and health, self-care. Consumers pay more attention to the correlation between cosmetic ingredients and health than ever before. Beauty products containing natural ingredients are welcomed. It has become a trend to pursue health through natural products. It is a trend to avoid choosing unhealthy ingredients such as preservatives and unsustainable ingredients such as plastic beads. In 2018, consumers searched for them. In Soxhlet's cosmetic products, the number of searches related to cosmetic ingredients reaches 1 billion times, which is more than the product name. Of the searches, 60% are natural ingredients. According to KORTA, the trend of CBD cosmetics is still in its infancy. In order to attract hesitant consumers, independent brands of CBD are actively introducing the benefits of CBD ingredients in detail.
In the United States, many CBD independent beauty brands are emphasizing the extension effect of related products in health campaigns such as meditation and yoga, actively promoting the benefits of CBD/botanical ingredients, and promoting the development of CBD beauty market.
CBD independent beauty brands pursue high-end and luxury image, adopting the Z generation like Glossier, The Ordinary and other minimalism and integration with Instagram packaging.
The cannabis oil products launched by famous brands of Origins include Relating & Hydrating Face Mask with Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, Cannabis Sativa Seed Facial Oil Herbal Concentrate and Fresh (Cannabis Santal Eau de Parfum).
International cosmetics enterprises did not expand the product line-up of CBD cosmetics, but by exploring the way of acquiring independent brands, to conform to the trend. Recently, major cosmetics retailers in the United States only sell cannabis oil products from well-known brands, contacting cannabis oil in a safe way, and CBD independent cosmetics brand product sales are gradually active. At the beginning of this year, Neiman Marcus, a high-end department store, began to sell CBD products online. Barney's New York set up the'The High End'area in Beverly Hills to sell CBD products.
According to KOTRA's analysis, "Natural cosmetics and health care are the most popular trends in the American cosmetics market, and CBD cosmetic products belong to these two areas. Therefore, it is expected that they will also be welcomed by consumers, especially those with the lowest chemical composition, and products labeled with clean products will be loved by consumers, who are not familiar with the American market." Knowing the botanical ingredients is an important means of marketing through the detailed description of webpages and so on.
