Dalian seafood 'gold content' is higher and higher

During the Dalian International Seafood Festival, the reporter not only tasted the delicacies produced by various seafood, but also felt the passion of the era of innovation and development of Dalian fishery industry and striving for the upstream.
Link to Global Seafood: Further polish the "City Card"
Dalian is a large marine fishery city with high quality seafood and high reputation in the whole country. Abalone, sea cucumber, scallop, sea urchin, prawn, pinnatifid, kelp and red fin Oriental fish in Dalian are the representatives of high-quality and high-end seafood in China.
"It is our responsibility for Dalian fishery enterprises to further establish Dalian seafood brand and polish this city business card." Li Xingjun, Director of Planning Department of Dalian Ruichi Enterprise Group Co., Ltd., told reporters. As a well-known international marine enterprise in the whole marine fishery industry chain of Dalian, Ruichi accounts for 50% of the annual sales of about 1 billion yuan, both at home and abroad.
"Dalian seafood should not be limited to the seafood produced locally in Dalian." Li Xingjun believes that with the rapid development of the Internet, cargo flow and information flow can reach ordinary consumers more and more quickly, coupled with the lack of offshore fishery resources, if only consider real estate seafood, it will limit the development of Dalian's fishery ideas.
In fact, ocean-going imported seafood has entered the daily life of most ordinary consumers. "Imported salmon, shrimp and shellfish are quickly accepted by Chinese consumers. The demand of Chinese consumers increases by 12%-13% every year only for salmon. Rachel imports more than 20,000 tons of salmon every year, and Dalian also ranks first in the country in terms of seafood imports. As the distribution center of seafood in Northeast Asia, global seafood trade brings global seafood to Dalian, and then from Dalian to the whole country and the whole world. Li Xingjun introduced.
Deeply tap the low-end potential: Make the underestimated "small seafood"
In addition to high-end seafood ingredients such as sea cucumber, abalone, sea urchin and oyster in Dalian, reporters also found "Dalian Undercarriage" in the exhibition as "underestimated good seafood". Dalian Undaria accounted for more than 85% of the national output, its nutritional value has been widely recognized by Japan and ROK, but the level of consumer awareness and acceptance in China still needs to be improved. In recent years, the price of Undaria pinnatifida in Dalian has stagnated or even declined, which has affected the enthusiasm of the industry to a certain extent. In the past, Dalian Undaria was mainly processed into dried Undaria pinnatifida and other primary products exported to Japan and ROK. In recent years, it has also developed towards intensive processing, and seasoned Undaria pinnatifida products have appeared in the market. The Dalian Undaria Seaweed Enterprises also organized a group to participate in the exhibition.
"Our large-scale enterprises have been exhibiting in all parts of the country for three or four years in a row. However, 60% to 70% of consumers and 80% to 90% of distributors still only look at the price, and the low price competition of some enterprises in the industry also brings adverse factors to the development of the industry. Mr. Qiao, responsible person of Dalian Yihai Products Co., Ltd., said. The reporter learned that it has always been the voice of the industry to develop the refined and deep processing products of Undaria that meet the needs of the domestic market. However, it is difficult to form industrial synergy because of the small and scattered enterprises of Undaria pinnatifida cultivation. Empowering Chinese food and beverage: Aiming at the "highland" of the global food and beverage supply chain, China's Agricultural Outlook report (2018-2027) issued by the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas predicts that in the next 10 years, the per capita annual consumption of aquatic products in China will increase to 25 kg, among which urban residents will exceed 30 kg. At the same time, consumers will also put forward higher requirements in terms of quality, safety, nutrition and convenience. At the exhibition, reporters saw "fried oyster yellow", "butterfly shrimp", "semi-finished seafood such as black pepper salmon rice, which can be eaten by microwave oven, and many snacks made by seafood. Many buyers of catering, chain convenience stores and supermarkets were very interested.
"At present, the menu rate of seafood in catering industry is less than 5%. Really fast, large-scale, branded and intensive catering chain enterprises are often perfected in the supply chain. We hope to help China's catering industry to transform and upgrade. Li Xingjun said. He believes that the catering industry often faces the development bottleneck of "medium-scale death valley" - when opening more than a dozen stores, the supply chain can not support the rapid development of enterprises, can not achieve standardization, triggering a decline in customer experience and food safety level.
"Our seafood enterprise is to build a seafood supply chain for the catering industry. From fishing to R&D, processing, to quality control with international product control standards, the finished products are presented to catering enterprises. This is also the theme of this exhibition. Li Xingjun said.
