Greece will explore oil and gas resources in the sea area west of Crete

Greece's oil and gas administration said more than 30 oil and gas exploration areas have been identified in the Ionian Sea and the waters west and south of Crete. The Greek parliament approved the following three exploration agreements: first, the concession agreement between Greek oil company and total, ExxonMobil and the cooperative exploration of Western and southwest Crete; second, the exploration concession agreement between Greek oil company and Repsol group in the Ionian Sea area; third, the exploration concession agreement of Greek oil company in block 10 of the Ionian Sea Agreement.
