World steel industry 2020 demand growth forecast: China plummets to 1%

The World Steel Association released the steel demand forecast: China's growth in 2019 will be 7.8%, except China's growth will be 0.2%; China's growth in 2020 will be 1%, except China's growth will be 2.5%.
The World Steel Association today released the global short-term steel demand forecast in 2019 and 2020. The data shows that the global steel demand will increase by 3.9% and 1.7% respectively in 2019 and 2020. Of which, China's steel demand will increase by 7.8% in 2019 and 1% in 2020; the world's steel demand will increase by 0.2% in 2019 and 2.5% in 2020. It should be added that India is expected to surpass the United States as the world's second largest steel consumer to 109 million tons in 2020, but it is still only 1 / 9 of China's.
