Fuel cell market will reach 7 billion US dollars by 2025
According to the latest research report of global market insight, the fuel cell market will grow from $3 billion in 2018 to $7 billion in 2025. By 2025, the UK fuel cell market is expected to grow by more than 50 megawatts. Strict emission reduction targets and increased investment in R & D activities will complement the business environment. In addition, due to the incentives and subsidies provided by government departments, the growth of demand for fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) will have a positive impact on the popularity of products. Ballard Power Systems unveiled its eighth generation of zero emission heavy vehicle fuel cell modules in 2019. The surge in demand for forklifts, second wheel, tricycles, trams, ferries, cargo trucks and boats will promote the growth of the industry. In addition, compared with existing similar products, high reliability and efficiency, together with accelerated investment in innovation, will enhance the prospects of enterprises. By 2025, there will be more than 30000 solid oxide fuel cells. The increasing use of small and large power sources to provide power to off grid areas will drive the growth of the fuel cell market. These cells are widely used in applications requiring high temperature ranges from 8000 ° C to 10000 ° C, with efficiency of more than 60% when converting from fuel to power. High efficiency, low cost, low emissions, stability and fuel flexibility are some of the key features that make it superior to other alternatives. With the development of tourism and cities, as well as the increasing demand for FCEVs, more and more mobile charging devices are used, which will promote the development of fuel cell market. Broad government investment in the hydrogen economy and increased demand for fixed backup power will have a positive impact on the business outlook. In 2018, the U.S. Department of energy invested more than $39 million in the development of hydrogen fuel infrastructure. The growing concern for energy security and the increasing adoption of sustainable energy technologies will stimulate the growth of the fuel cell market. Strong growth in hydrogen infrastructure, coupled with ongoing research and development activities by governments and private organizations, will drive the industry. In 2018, the South Korean government plans to invest US $2.38 billion in the next five years to develop hydrogen infrastructure nationwide.
