Chinese paint industry stands in the world

In today's China's paint industry, we should continue to promote system reform and opening up, vigorously promote innovation driven and technology upgrading, actively practice green sustainable and high-quality development, and constantly integrate the standards with the international standards, making remarkable achievements. There are eight paint companies in China, two more than last year, on the list of 2019 global paint and coating manufacturers recently released. China's listed companies are: Shanghai Huayi fine chemical (26), Hunan Xiangjiang paint group (28), Jiabaoli (38), badshi (42), dabaoqi (50), Daqiao (53), sanjeshu paint (55) and Bauhinia (59) paint on-line coatingol.com. When the new China was founded, there were only 50 paint factories in China, only dozens of products, and the total annual output was less than 10000 tons. In the next 30 years, China's coating industry has experienced roller coaster development. In 1978, the output reached 343600 tons, accounting for only 2.34% of the world's total coating output.
In 1978, with the reform and opening up, the coating industry also entered a period of rapid development. At this stage, the country has launched a large number of infrastructure projects, and the rapid development of transportation, home appliances and other industries has led to the continuous growth of the coating industry. In 2001, with China's accession to the WTO, the door of foreign trade was further opened. From 2002 to 2011, China's coating production increased rapidly at an annual double-digit rate. The key point is that China's coating production reached 7.545 million tons in 2009, ranking the first in the world. During the 13th Five Year Plan period, China's macroeconomic development entered the "new normal", and the industrial economy ushered in structural adjustment, transformation and upgrading. In the past five years, the profit of China's coating industry has an annual double-digit growth rate, with the growth rate higher than the output growth rate. The annual output of coatings increased from 11.377 million tons to 17.176 million tons; the annual profit of coatings increased from 14.39 billion yuan to 30.85 billion yuan, and the proportion of medium and high-grade coatings increased as the main reason. In the 21st century, the production and sales of domestic synthetic resin coatings account for more than 70%, and the production of water-based and high solid grade environmentally friendly coatings has increased significantly. The key to the adjustment of product structure is the introduction of complete set of equipment, process and basic raw material production process. Every industry has four stages: start, development, maturity and decline.
The world coating industry as a whole has entered the mature stage. Moreover, the market of developed countries has become saturated and the growth space is limited. Relatively speaking, there is still a lot of room for development in the Asia Pacific region, and the paint market demand is strong. As a result, the global coating giant will shift its focus to Asia, with the trend of acquisition, merger, factory building and production expansion. China is the world's largest paint production and consumption country, with a large population, rapid economic development and a lack of first-class production enterprises. The whole coating industry is dominated by small and medium-sized enterprises, which are scattered, low concentration, and labor-intensive enterprises. Favorable external factors provide a hotbed for the development of foreign paint enterprises in China, with rapid growth. At the same time, domestic national coating enterprises are also rising. With the real estate growth, the national coating enterprises, represented by sankeshu, Kimberly, bards, zhanchen and asichuaneng, have formed a trend respectively. Although they can't compete with Libang and Dulux for the time being, they have great development potential, full potential and strength.
