Royal DSM promotes the far-reaching sustainable development of coating resin
November 18, chinacoat, 2019 China International Coatings exhibition, opened in a grand way. DSM group of the Netherlands made an appearance at the exhibition and announced to fully promote its coating resin business to implement a series of far-reaching sustainable development goals. DSM announced a series of goals at the European coatings exhibition in March this year, aiming to become the most environmentally friendly manufacturer in the coating resin industry and a leader in sustainable development. In order to further promote the achievement of the goal, DSM demonstrated a series of solutions to the participants at the exhibition, and further implemented its commitment to sustainable development. DSM's sustainable development goals for resins and functional materials include the complete elimination of all highly focused chemicals in finished products by 2025, and a commitment to reduce carbon footprint emissions per ton of indirect value chain products by 28% by 2030 (compared with 2016), while ensuring that at least 30% of the raw materials collected are bio based and / or recyclable. In addition, according to DSM's sustainable development blueprint, DSM resins and functional materials plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30% in 2030 compared with 2016.
To achieve this, DSM resins and functional materials will ensure that 75% of the power supply will come from renewable sources. At the same time, the overall annual energy efficiency has increased by at least 1%. Martin vlak, global director of specialty resins at DSM, said: "our sustainability goals highlight our commitment to be the most ambitious, innovative and transparent resin producer and supplier in the industry. Not only that, we are actively promoting the realization of future vision and helping customers to make more sustainable choices. Our sustainability monitoring mechanism helps us track performance related to these goals, making us an effective catalyst for industry change. All in all, I am fully confident in achieving our goals and working with our suppliers, customers and partners to create a better life for all. " DSM Netherlands keeps pace with the times and keeps innovating to provide new solutions for different industries. "In DSM, we are committed to reshaping the coating industry through science, so that our partners and customers can benefit from it," said Dr. Dr. Dr. mark Su, President of DSM's global powder coating resin business and managing director of coating resin business in Asia Pacific. "DSM is constantly integrating sustainable development into innovation, working with all stakeholders in the value chain Provide valuable solutions for industry development. "
At the 2019 China International Coatings exhibition, DSM also demonstrated the latest breakthrough solutions, which are applied to multiple industries and bring more benefits than traditional solutions. In the field of construction and decoration, DSM expanded the application of Tianrui TM high-performance plant-based resin series products to the field of industrial wood products, and promoted the "bio based" industry trend. Martin vlak, global director of DSM specialty resins, pointed out that DSM's innovative dianrui TM is a unique and environmentally friendly series of plant-based coating resins, which is one of the powerful evidences for emerging technologies to help develop the global green economy. In the field of consumer electronics applications, DSM launched agisyn? 301, an innovative UV curing product with high wear resistance and zero / low VOC characteristics. The traditional high resistance polishing curing resin needs to be sprayed with solvent dilution, while agisyn ™ 301 can be diluted with water to reduce the processing viscosity, making it possible to achieve zero VOC. In addition, DSM resin officially entered the traffic coating market, providing a variety of environmentally friendly solutions for waterborne and high solid coating resin, ensuring high performance while achieving excellent appearance, and striving to further reduce VOC emissions and energy consumption in the coating process.
In order to promote the recycling economy, dsman has also introduced a non plastic water-based coating to replace the plastic coating in the paper cup, making it possible to recycle the paper cup. DSM has introduced a new type of environmental protection and oil prevention product in the aspect of food contact paper. This scheme does not use the traditional fluorine-containing oil prevention technology, and has outstanding oil prevention performance and good water-proof performance. In the field of packaging and printing, DSM skinstm series appeared at the exhibition. It can give coated paper, uncoated paper, paperboard, film and aluminized substrate excellent and unique touch, making packaging design have a variety of personalized choices and realize product differentiation. For a long time, DSM in the Netherlands has always regarded sustainable development as the core value and responsibility of enterprises. Internally, DSM actively improves the operation mode and reduces the impact on the environment; externally, DSM empowers customers and partners to provide sustainable solutions. As a corporate citizen, DSM advocates a better future, achieving win-win economic benefits and environmental benefits.
