Southern Xinjiang Customs released 188000 tons of imported natural gas

ECHEMI 2019-12-09

Since entering the heating period in November, Southern Xinjiang Customs, affiliated to Tianjin Customs, has cleared and imported a total of 188,000 tons of liquefied natural gas, with a total of 260 million cubic meters, and has continued to guarantee winter heating.

Since the beginning of winter, China’s natural gas consumption has increased significantly, and many natural gas importing companies have increased their natural gas imports in order to alleviate the tight domestic gas supply. In order to speed up the inspection and release of natural gas imports, Southern Xinjiang Customs visited the enterprises proactively, learned about the enterprise import plan in advance, tailored service plans for the enterprises, established a short-term interconnection mechanism between the first-line customs departments and the production departments of enterprises, and adjusted the business with qualifications for inspection and supervision of dangerous goods. Backbone, formulate on-duty and shift plans in advance, arrange emergency duty personnel, and promptly solve the problems found at the disposal site; meanwhile, in response to the increase in the size of LNG ships this winter, the average single-cargo capacity increased by 10,000 tons, while the time in port remains unchanged, etc. The actual situation meets the requirements of the enterprise in advance to "connect" (that is, to connect the LNG ship's external pipelines with floating storage and regasification devices or shore tanks). Nanjiang Customs implemented precision services. Notifying companies to take over at one time can help enterprises reduce the import time of LNG by 2 hours.
