Yarn and Textiles Export up by 38.4% on the Year in Xinjiang in Jan-Aug
It is reported that exports of yarn and textiles from Xinjiang amounted to $0.157 billion in Aug 2017, up 25.61% y-o-y and 32.98% m-o-m respectively. In Jan-Aug, 2018, exports of yarn and textiles increased by 38.4% on the year to $0.866 billion.
Exports of apparel and accessories from Xinjiang amounted to $0.6387 billion in Aug 2017, up 53.76% y-o-y and 42.28% m-o-m respectively. In Jan-Aug, 2018, exports of apparel and accessories grew by 30.8% compared with the same period of last year to $2.807 billion.
Exports of textiles and apparel from Xinjiang both increased on the year and on the month in Aug, and growth of apparel export was faster than that of yarn, indicating rapid growth of apparel capacity indirectly.
