From January to June, the operating income of chemical fiber enterprises above designated size was 536.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.6%; the total profit was 16.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 51.2%; the operating income profit margin was 3.1%, a year-on-year decrease of 3.8 percentage points; industry losses were 33.5%, An increase of 11.5 percentage points year-on-year.
The output of chemical fiber was 33.67 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%. The average number of workers employed in the industry was 440,000, an increase of 4.0% over the same period of the previous year.
