In the First Half of 2022, the Price of Vitamin E Rose, and the Export Volume Fell by 13.49%
From January to June 2022, the export volume of vitamin E is about 39,504 tons, and the export value is about 413 million US dollars: compared with the same period of last year, the export volume decreased by 13.49%, and the export value increased by 11.77%. The export products are mainly 50% feed meal. . In the first half of 2022, the average export price of vitamin E was US$10.46/kg, significantly higher than the same period last year. It is mainly affected by factors such as the double control policy and rising raw material prices. According to customs statistics, farnesene, an important intermediate of vitamin E, imported 4,339 tons from January to June 2022, and the import price of farnesene also increased from the initial one. $1.98/kg rose to $3.5/kg.
Vitamin E is mainly exported to the United States, Germany, the Netherlands and other European and American countries. In the first half of 2022, vitamin E exported to the United States was the largest, about 12,456 tons, accounting for 31.53% of the total; followed by exports to Germany, about 8,541 tons, accounting for 31.53% of the total. 21.62%; the third is the Netherlands, with an export volume of about 2827, accounting for 7.16% of the total.
There are many vitamin E manufacturers, mainly including: DSM, BASF, Xinhecheng, Zhejiang Medicine, Jilin Beisha, Fujian Haixin, Yitman, Shanghai Haijianuo, etc. From January to June 2022, the province with the most exports is Zhejiang Province, with an export volume of about 20,307 tons, accounting for half of the total export volume; followed by Hubei Province, with an export volume of about 6,930 tons, accounting for 17.54% of the total export volume.
At present, the import price of the intermediate farnesene is stable, and the price of vitamin E feed grade in the market is about 83-85 yuan/kg. The main manufacturers of Xinhecheng, BASF, and Jilin Beisha stopped quoting vitamin E feed-grade products, and Zhejiang Medicine's vitamin E feed-grade price was 90 yuan/kg. In addition, Garden Bio will raise funds to build a project with an annual output of 20,000 tons of vitamin E powder. Due to the large number of vitamin E manufacturers, it is unlikely that its price will continue to rise.
