It is expected that the port will continue to be weak in supply and demand

ECHEMI 2020-01-16

This week's market overview this week, snow in the main production area affects shipment, part of the mine mouth inventory is overstocked, and the price of power coal in the mine mouth is mainly stable. The decline of port inventory was significantly narrowed, and the closing price of power coal rebounded about 5 CNY/ton. In terms of studying and judging the origin, some coal mines begin to have holidays in succession next week. In addition, there are many snowy days in the origin before the year, and the automobile transportation sales are severely restricted, resulting in the shutdown and production reduction of the top warehouse of the coal mine, and the supply of the origin will continue to tighten. At the same time, due to the continuous decline of the temperature, the speed of the power plant to the warehouse is relatively fast, and the available days of the national key power plants' inventory will be reduced to 16 days, and the demand for replenishment of the warehouse will still be Strong. It is expected that the supply and demand of power coal at the mine mouth will tighten periodically next week, supporting the stable price of the mine mouth. In terms of ports, at present, Indonesia's coal clearance time is generally about 7-15 days, which effectively supplements the coastal power plant inventory, but Australia's coal needs more than 40 days. It is difficult to recover the port transfer in the short term, and the inventory continues to decline. Near the new year, the demand for power plants will still be dominated by long-term cooperation and imported coal, and the demand for spot goods is not high. It is expected that the port will continue to have a weak supply and demand pattern next week, with low inventory supporting the price and rising steadily.
