Solvay expands the product portfolio of coating additives
Solvay, a global specialty chemicals supplier, will launch a new line of products at the Indianapolis paint show April 10-12 to meet customers' needs in adhesives, color and performance systems. The new product has a range of advantages, including excellent emulsion stability, particle size control, improved adhesion to difficult substrates, excellent pigment wetting and dispersing, enhanced color acceptance, compatibility and operability. They provide better film properties, such as high scrub, stain and water resistance or freeze-thaw improvements developed for environmentally friendly formulations for building coatings, industrial coatings, adhesives, and printing inks. Solvay draws on its expertise in surface chemistry to provide customized solutions to improve the performance of various paint formulations.
Its product portfolio focuses on three main areas of coating expertise: the binder solution as the global leader in emulsion polymerization, and a series of special surfactants and monomers, which enable the solvent based waterborne coating system to be transformed into a waterborne coating system. Rhodasurf, rhodafac, rhodapex and aerosol Surfactant solutions, as well as sipomer, WAM and bcea series of special adhesive monomers without ape and VOC, can enhance the adhesion of metals such as aluminum, cold steel and other difficult substrates. Color solutions rhodoline ® 3000 and 4000 dispersants for aqueous pigment concentrates have excellent color strength, improved color acceptance, high stability and optimum viscosity, helping to develop formulations for different applications such as architectural coatings, Industrial Coatings and printing inks. Rhodoline WA 265N is a new low foam wetting and dispersing agent that does not contain VOC and APE. It is designed for waterborne architectural coatings and can improve the wettability, color compatibility and stability of pigments.
Performance solution rhodoline ® CL 3101 is a new breakthrough odorless and low VOC coalescing agent specially designed for waterborne architectural coatings, which can provide excellent film-forming performance without affecting coating performance. Rhodoline ® ote 600 is an innovative non VOC open extender that improves the operability of low VOC to zero VOC coatings. This product enables the paint formulator to reduce VOC content by removing glycol from the formulation. In addition to the new products, Solvay will also focus on launching its new network platform aimed at demonstrating the value proposition of its paint portfolio and enhancing the user experience. "We have simplified our website to provide instant solutions to your needs and problems," said sel Avci, global marketing director of Novecare. "Our goal is to meet and exceed the needs of our coating customers by providing solutions that are superior to the traditional market."
Solvay Novecare is a global leader in specialty surfactants and a major player in polymers, amines and guar gum. Solvay Novecare engineers and developed formulations that provide specific functional characteristics for consumer products and the latest industrial applications to change fluid behavior and provide cleaning, dispersion, gelling, wetting, osmosis, softening or thickening characteristics. These formulas are used for shampoo, detergents, paints and lubricants as well as crop protection, energy production and stimulation. Novecare, with a global network of 28 production bases and 22 R & D centers, has become the preferred partner for customers in fast-growing economies and utilizes an innovation platform based on sustainable solutions.
