Rinchem Acquires Taiwan-Based Transportation Company
Rinchem Company Inc, a global chemical logistics provider has completed the acquisition of JS Transportation, a Taiwan-based transportation company. As a global leader in hazardous material supply chain management, Rinchem will benefit from this acquisition by increasing levels of service in the growing Taiwan market.
JS Transportation will expand Rinchem's fleet of trucks in the region by increasing Rinchem's strength as a transportation partner specifically for hazardous chemicals and spec gases.
JS Transportation has been in business since 1981 and has been family owned for the duration of its lifetime. JS Transportation has locations on the western coast of Taiwan including Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Taichung, Yunlin, Tainan, and Kaoshiung.
JS Transportation has 110 trucks in its fleet and 180 employees. This acquisition will significantly increase the employee and truck count in Taiwan growing Rinchem's presence in the region. These assets position Rinchem as the premier and best-equipped logistics company in the country.
"Rinchem is excited to make this acquisition. JS Transportation is a natural fit for Rinchem and our core service offerings. JS boasts the largest market share for spec gas transportation in the semiconductor industry in Taiwan so this acquisition greatly increases our transportation abilities throughout the country, making us a stronger partner for the many speciality chemical and gas companies located here," said Ken Breinholt, Rinchem's global director of business development.
