Raynaud’s syndrome is a pathological and physiological change induced by cold or emotional factors, characterized by paroxysmal pallor, cyanosis and flushing of the skin of both hands. This syndrome is caused by paroxysmal spasms of the digital arteries, which are more common in young women and occur in both hands and fingers, but can also involve both feet and toes. There is no disease name "Raynaud’s syndrome" in traditional Chinese medicine. However, there are similar records in the literature about its clinical manifestations. For example, in Zhang Zhongjing’s Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases in the Han Dynasty, it is said that "If the hands and feet are cold and the pulse is weak and about to stop, Danggui Si Ni Tang is the main treatment. If the person has long-term cold inside, add Wuzhuyu and Shengjiang Tang to treat it." This disease should belong to the category of pulse arthralgia, cold arthralgia, cold limbs, and cold hands and feet in traditional Chinese medicine.
