Pharyngitis
Pharyngitis is an inflammation of the pharyngeal mucosa and submucosal tissues, often as part of an upper respiratory tract infection. Depending on the duration of the disease and the nature of the pathological changes, it is divided into acute pharyngitis, acute simple pharyngitis, chronic pharyngitis, chronic simple pharyngitis, hypertrophic pharyngitis, atrophic pharyngitis, viral pharyngitis, streptococcal pharyngitis, and gonococcal pharyngitis.

CEFADROXIL- cefadroxil_capsule
Indication: Cefadroxil capsules are indicated for the treatment of patients with infection caused by susceptible strains of the designated organisms in the following diseases: Urinary tract infections caused by E. coli P. mirabilis Klebsiella Skin and skin structure infections caused by staphylococci and/or streptococci. Pharyngitis and/or tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes Note: Note: To reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of cefadroxil capsules and other antibacterial drugs, cefadroxil capsules should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria. When culture and susceptibility information are available, they should be considered in selecting or modifying antibacterial therapy. In the absence of such data, local epidemiology and susceptibility patterns may contribute to the empiric selection of therapy.
