Indication
The effect is stronger than that of aminosulfone thiothioxanthene. It can be used for acute and chronic schizophrenia. Its decanoate is a long-acting agent. It is suitable for negative symptoms of schizophrenia such as apathy and withdrawal, and also has a certain effect on those with anxiety and lack of motivation. Its decanoate long-acting preparation is often used for the maintenance treatment of chronic schizophrenia patients. 533 cases were reported abroad, with a significant efficacy of 41% to 55%. Shanghai Mental Health Center treated 60 chronic patients with a course of more than 5 years, and found that 25 cases (41.7%) had moderate efficacy or above after 3 months of treatment.

Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Most penicillins have been used in pediatric patients and no special problems have been found so far. Incomplete renal development in newborns and infants under 6 months of age may slow the excretion of penicillin through the urinary tract. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnancy: There are no appropriate and well-controlled human studies to date. Penicillin should be used in pregnant women only when the benefits outweigh the risks. However, penicillin use during pregnancy has not been shown to have toxic effects on the fetus. Breastfeeding mothers: Penicillin can be secreted in human milk. Although no major problems have been seen so far, penicillin use by breastfeeding mothers may cause susceptibility, diarrhea, candidiasis, and rash in infants. Precautions for the elderly: Penicillin has been used in elderly patients and no special problems have been found so far. However, since the elderly are prone to age-related renal failure, dose adjustment is necessary.
Drug Interactions
Large doses can increase the effects of ethanol, barbiturates and other central nervous system depressants. It can block the antihypertensive effect of guanethidine and weaken the effects of levodopa and adrenaline. Combination with metoclopramide and piperazine can increase the occurrence of extrapyramidal symptoms.
