Function and Efficacy

1. Antibacterial effect This product has antibacterial activity against some Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. In particular, it has a stronger antibacterial effect than other oral cephalosporin antibiotics against streptococci (except enterococci) and pneumococci among Gram-positive bacteria, and gonococci, Branhamella, Escherichia coli, Clostridium, Salivarius, Proteus, and Haemophilus influenzae among Gram-negative bacteria, and its mechanism of action is bactericidal. It has extremely strong stability against β-lactamases produced by various bacteria and shows superior antibacterial power against bacteria that produce β-lactamases. 2. Mechanism of action The mechanism of action is to prevent the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. Its point of action varies depending on the species, and it has a higher affinity with 1 (1a, 1b, 1c) and 3 in penicillin-binding protein (PBP).

Appearance

This product is a suspension granule with a fragrant aroma and sweet taste.

Indication

It is effective for the following infections caused by cefixime-sensitive bacteria among Streptococcus (except enterococci), Pneumococcus, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Branhamella catarrhalis, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Serratia, Proteus, and Haemophilus influenzae. Bronchitis, bronchiectasis (infection), secondary infection of chronic respiratory infections, pneumonia, pyelonephritis, cystitis, gonococcal urethritis; cholecystitis, cholangitis, scarlet fever; otitis media, sinusitis.

Usage and Dosage

Usually used for oral administration in children. 1.5-3.0 mg/kg per time, twice a day. In addition, the dosage can be increased or decreased appropriately according to the symptoms. For severe cases or cases with no obvious effect, 6 mg/kg per time, twice a day.

Adverse Reactions

Among the total 12,879 cases, adverse reactions including abnormal clinical examination values were found in 294 cases (2.58%). These adverse reactions included 112 cases (0.87%) of gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, 29 cases (0.23%) of skin symptoms such as rash, and abnormal clinical examination values including 78 cases (0.61%) of increased GPT, 58 cases (0.45%) of increased GOT, 26 cases (0.20%) of eosinophilia, etc. Serious adverse reactions: 1. Drug Interactions

1. This product is contraindicated with the following drugs: Amikacin sulfate, gentamicin, kanamycin, tobramycin. Neomycin, chlortetracycline hydrochloride, tetracycline hydrochloride, oxytetracycline hydrochloride, colistin sodium methanesulfonate, polymyxin B sulfate, erythromycin gluconate, erythromycin lactobionate, lincomycin, sulfisoxazole, aminophylline, soluble barbiturates, calcium chloride, calcium gluconate, other antihistamines such as diphenhydramine hydrochloride, lidocaine, norepinephrine, metaraminol, methylphenidate, succinylcholine, etc. Occasionally, it may also be contraindicated with the following drugs: penicillin, methicillin, hydrocortisone succinate, phenytoin sodium.
