Compound zinc iron calcium oral solution

Function and Efficacy

Iron is a component of hemoglobin in red blood cells. When iron is deficient, the amount of hemoglobin synthesized by red blood cells decreases, resulting in a smaller red blood cell volume, a decreased oxygen-carrying capacity, and iron-deficiency anemia. Oral ferrous gluconate can supplement iron and correct iron-deficiency anemia; zinc is an important component of many enzymes in the body, and has the functions of promoting growth and development, improving taste, etc. When it is deficient, growth stagnation, reproductive inability, difficulty in wound healing, body weakness, conjunctivitis, stomatitis, glossitis, lack of appetite, chronic diarrhea, loss of taste, neurological symptoms, etc. can also occur. Oral zinc gluconate can correct it: calcium can participate in the formation of bones and the reconstruction of bone tissue after fracture, as well as muscle contraction, nerve transmission, coagulation mechanism, and reduce the permeability of capillaries. Oral calcium gluconate can supplement calcium deficiency: vitamin B2 is an important component of coenzymes, participating in the metabolism of sugars, proteins, and fats, maintaining normal visual function and promoting growth.

Adverse Reactions

1. Iron supplements are astringent after oral administration, and often cause mild nausea, stomach or abdominal pain, which is often related to the dose. Mild diarrhea or constipation is also common. 2. Zinc supplements are gastrointestinal irritants, and oral administration may cause mild nausea, vomiting and constipation. 3. Calcium supplements are taken according to the recommended dose, with few adverse reactions, but may cause warming, constipation, and abdominal discomfort. 4. Rare adverse reactions include hypercalcemia and kidney stones, which are prone to long-term or large-scale use or when suffering from renal impairment, and manifest as anorexia, nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, muscle weakness, arrhythmia, confusion, hypertension, and bone lime deposition.

Precautions

It is contraindicated for patients with severe liver and kidney damage. 4. It is contraindicated for patients with iron allergy. 5. It is contraindicated for patients with ongoing or active gastrointestinal ulcers. 6. It is contraindicated for patients with hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria. 7. It is contraindicated for patients with calcium kidney stones or a history of kidney stones. 8. It is contraindicated for patients with sarcoidosis (which may aggravate hypercalcemia). 9. It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to any component of this product.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: 6-12 months: 1 stick a day; under 6 months: half a stick a day. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant women and lactating women generally need to supplement iron, zinc and other elements, but the dosage should be in accordance with the doctor's advice. It is most appropriate to supplement iron during pregnancy in the middle and late stages of pregnancy, because iron intake decreases and the amount required increases at this time. There are no reports of adverse effects of therapeutic doses of iron on the fetus and breastfeeding. Precautions for the elderly: Elderly patients supplement iron to treat iron deficiency anemia, and the dosage can be appropriately increased if necessary, because gastric juice secretion is reduced, gastric acid is lacking, and iron absorption from the intestinal mucosa is reduced. Elderly people may have reduced secretion of active vitamin D, namely vitamin D3, and reduced intestinal absorption of calcium, so the oral dose should be increased accordingly.

Drug Interactions

1. When iron supplements are used together with antacids such as sodium bicarbonate, phosphates, and drugs or beverages containing tannic acid, precipitation is likely to occur, which will affect the absorption of this product. 2. Taking iron supplements together with vitamin C can increase the absorption of iron supplements, but it can also easily cause gastrointestinal reactions. 3. Cimetidine, deferoxamine, dimercaprol, pancreatic enzymes, and pancreatic lipase can affect the absorption of iron supplements. 4. Iron supplements can affect the absorption of tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, penicillamine, and zinc preparations. 5. Zinc supplements are incompatible with aluminum, calcium, strontium salts, borax, carbonates and hydroxides (alkali), protein silver, and tannic acid. 6. The combination of zinc supplements and penicillamine can reduce the effect of the latter. 7.
