Rabies immunoglobulin

This product contains high-titer rabies antibodies, which can specifically neutralize the rabies virus and play a passive immunization role.

Main ingredients: rabies immunoglobulin. This product is made from plasma with high rabies antibody titer collected from healthy people after immunizing them with rabies vaccine, extracted by low-temperature ethanol protein separation, and inactivated by pasteurization. Excipients: glycine.

This product is a colorless or light yellow clear liquid, may have opalescence, and should not be turbid

It is mainly used for passive immunization of patients bitten or scratched by rabies or other crazy animals. All patients suspected of rabies exposure should be given rabies vaccine and rabies immunoglobulin. If the patient has been vaccinated with rabies vaccine and has a sufficient anti-rabies antibody titer, the vaccine can be given again without using this product.

Usage: After timely and thorough debridement, use 1/2 of the total dose of this product for subcutaneous infiltration injection at the injured site, and the remaining 1/2 for intramuscular injection (in case of head bite, it can be injected into the back muscle). WHO recommends: As much as possible should be injected at the wound site, and the excess product should be injected into the thigh muscle; if there is not enough of this product, it should be diluted and injected. Dosage: The injection dose is calculated as 20IU/kg body weight (or follow the doctor's advice), one injection. If the total dose required is greater than 10ml, it can be injected in multiple times within 1 to 2 days. Then the rabies vaccine can be injected, but the injection sites and instruments of the two products should be strictly separated.

Generally, there are no adverse reactions. A few people may experience redness, swelling, and pain, which can be cured on their own without special treatment. There are reports of angioedema, skin flushing, nephrotic syndrome, and anaphylactic shock in foreign countries.

Contraindicated in patients who are allergic to human immunoglobulin or have a history of other severe allergies

Precautions for children: The safety and effectiveness of this product for children have not been established. Please follow the doctor's advice when it is necessary to use it. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: There is no research data on the effects of this product on animal reproduction. It is not clear whether the use of this product will affect reproductive ability and whether the use of this product by pregnant women will affect the fetus. Pregnant women can only use this product when it is necessary. Precautions for the elderly: There is no special medication for elderly patients. Please follow the doctor's advice when it is necessary to use it.

1 After the start of therapeutic vaccination, it is no longer recommended to use rabies immunoglobulin again because it will hinder the full expression of active immunity. 2 After using this product, live virus vaccines such as measles cannot be administered within three months because antibodies interfere with the vaccine immune response.
