Urinary gonadotropin for injection

This product is a gonadotropin drug. It mainly has the function of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), promoting the development and maturation of ovarian follicles and testicular production and secretion of steroid hormones. It causes endometrial hyperplasia in women and promotes the development of seminiferous tubules, spermatogenic cell division and sperm maturation in men.

This product is a sterile product extracted from the urine of menopausal women and refined by adding appropriate excipients and freeze-drying. It contains two biologically active ingredients, follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone, with a ratio of about 1. The excipients of this product are dextran 40, mannitol; pH regulator hydrochloric acid or (and) sodium hydroxide.

This product is white or off-white freeze-dried block or powder.

Used in combination with chorionic gonadotropin, it is used for primary or secondary amenorrhea caused by insufficient gonadotropin secretion, infertility caused by anovulation, etc.

For intramuscular injection, add 1-2 ml of sterile water for injection or sodium chloride injection to dissolve. Initially (or from the fifth day of the menstrual cycle), take 75-150 units once a day. After seven days, adjust the dose according to the patient's estrogen level and follicular development, and increase it to 150-225 units per day. After the follicles mature, inject 10,000 units of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) intramuscularly to induce ovulation. If the ovaries do not respond three weeks after the injection, stop taking the drug.

The main symptom is ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, which is manifested by lower abdominal discomfort or distension, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and ovarian enlargement. In severe cases, it can cause chest tightness, shortness of breath, decreased urine output, pleural effusion, ascites, and even rupture and bleeding of follicular cysts. In addition, there are multiple pregnancies and premature births.

It is contraindicated for patients with allergies, premature ovarian failure, menopause, unexplained vaginal bleeding, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and enlarged ovaries.
