Promestriol Cream

Promestriene is a steroidal estrogen drug. Promestriene produces local estrogen effects in the mucosa at the bottom of the reproductive tract, thereby restoring its nutritional function. After being used in the vagina, it will not produce systemic estrogen effects on areas away from the vagina.

This product is a white cream.

Atrophic lesions of the vulva, vestibule, and vaginal ring.

1-2 times a day, according to the doctor's instructions, apply enough cream to the surface of the area to be treated. If the cause persists (such as menopause, oophorectomy, use of estrogen-progestin contraception), or the influencing factors persist (such as radiotherapy), continuous treatment is necessary.

Like all medicines, this product may cause adverse reactions in some patients, including irritation, itching, and allergic reactions in some patients.

Although no systemic effects occur with this medication, as a precaution with any estrogen, its use in patients with a history of estrogen-dependent cancer is discouraged.

Precautions for children: Not yet clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: This product should not be used during pregnancy. It is not recommended for lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.

After application to the skin, less than 1% of promestriene enters the tissues.
