Trimebutine Maleate Tablets

Function and Efficacy

1. Bidirectional regulation of digestive tract smooth muscle: This product can non-competitively inhibit the contraction caused by acetylcholine. For patients with digestive system diseases, intravenous injection of 1 mg/kg of this product was found to regulate the movement of the hypermotility muscles of the stomach, making the irregular movement of the stomach tend to be regular. After 4-6 mg/kg of the drug was administered in the human jejunum, it was found that it could induce physiological digestive tract propulsion movement in the adult digestive system. For patients with hypermotility caused by neostigmine load, intravenous administration of 50 mg can inhibit the movement of the ileum, ascending colon, and sigmoid colon to the pre-load level; 2. Gastrointestinal analgesic effect: This product can also activate peripheral and K opioid receptors to release gastrointestinal peptides such as motilin, vasoactive peptide and gastrin, thereby inhibiting visceral nerve reflexes, blocking gastrointestinal afferent nerves, reducing the effects of peripheral noxious stimuli on the central nervous system, increasing the visceral pain threshold under pathophysiological conditions, and alleviating abdominal pain symptoms; 3. Peripheral antiemetic effect: Animal experiments have found that this product has a weak inhibitory effect on apomorphine-induced vomiting, but for vomiting induced by copper sulfate, after intravenous injection of 3 mg/kg or oral administration of 60 mg/kg of this product, the time required to induce vomiting can be significantly prolonged.
