1. Appearance
This product is white tablets.
Indication
It is used for chorea, Tourette syndrome and senile psychosis. It can also be used for headache, painful cramps, neuromuscular pain and ethanol poisoning.
Usage and Dosage
1. Chorea and Tourette syndrome: Start with 150-300 mg (11/2-3 tablets) per day, divided into 3 times, gradually increase to 300-600 mg (3-6 tablets) per day; after 2-3 months of symptom control, reduce the dose as appropriate. Maintenance dose is 1500-300 mg (11/2-3 tablets) per day. 2. Senile psychomotor disorders and tardive dyskinesia: Start with 100-200 mg (1-2 tablets) per day, then gradually increase to 300-600 mg (3-6 tablets) per day, divided into several times. 3. Headache, cramps, neuromuscular pain, etc.: Start with 200-400 mg (2-4 tablets) per day, and take for 3-8 days. Maintenance dose is 50 mg each time, 3 times a day. 4. Chronic alcohol poisoning is generally taken orally 150 mg (11/2 tablets) per day.
Adverse Reactions
1. The more common symptoms are drowsiness (incidence is about 2.5%), galactorrhea, amenorrhea (can return to normal after stopping the drug), gastrointestinal reactions, dizziness, fatigue, etc. 2. Some individuals may experience syndromes such as stupor, muscle rigidity, increased heart rate, blood pressure fluctuations, and sweating.
Precautions

Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: For children aged 7 to 12 years with psychomotor instability or Tourette syndrome, take orally. On average, half a tablet at a time, 1 to 2 times a day. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: The effect of this product on pregnant and lactating women is not clear yet, so it should be used with caution. Precautions for the elderly: For senile psychomotor disorders and tardive dyskinesia, start with 1 to 2 tablets a day, and then gradually increase to 3 to 6 tablets a day, taken in divided doses.
Drug Interactions
This product can enhance the effects of central nervous system depressants and can be used in combination with analgesics, sedatives, hypnotics, tranquilizers, antidepressants, antiparkinsonian drugs and antiepileptic drugs. However, at the beginning of treatment, the dose of the combined central nervous system depressant should be reduced.
