Compound aluminum hydroxide tablets

Function and Efficacy

This product is a compound of antacids aluminum hydroxide, magnesium trisilicate and antispasmodic belladonna fluid extract. The first two can neutralize excess gastric acid, while the latter can inhibit gastric juice secretion, relieve gastric smooth muscle spasm, and delay gastric emptying.

Ingredients

This product is a compound preparation. Each tablet contains the main ingredients of aluminum hydroxide 0.245 grams, magnesium trisilicate 0.105 grams, and belladonna fluid extract 0.0026 milliliters.

Drug Interactions

① Avoid taking other drugs within 1-2 hours after taking the medicine, because the change of gastric pH and the characteristics of aluminum and magnesium ions that easily form insoluble chelates with certain functional groups will reduce the absorption rate of the drugs taken together. ② Oral antibiotics that should not be used with this product include: tetracyclines, commonly used anti-tuberculosis drugs (including isoniazid, rifampicin, ethambutol), quinolone antibiotics (except oxoxacin), ketoconazole, trimethoprim, etc., because their absorption will be inhibited. ③ When used with oral digitalis glycosides, ferrous sulfate, chlorpromazine, benzylpenicillin, glucocorticoids, chlorpromazine, propranolol (propranolol), phenytoin, penicillamine, and allopurinol, the latter's absorption may be inhibited and the blood drug concentration may decrease, which may affect the efficacy. If necessary, the time of taking should be 2 hours apart. ④ When used together with H2 receptor blockers (such as cimetidine, ranitidine, famotidine) or anti-M-cholinergic drugs (such as atropine, scopolamine, propantheline), it is effective in relieving the pain symptoms of duodenal ulcers, but it is generally not recommended to use the two drugs within 1 hour. Because it can reduce the absorption of the latter. ⑤ When used together with carbenoxolone (carbenoxolone), it will combine with the latter to produce precipitation, reducing its absorption and affecting its role in promoting ulcer healing. ⑥ Bismuth and sucralfate need to exert their mucosal protective effects in an acidic environment. All antacids, including this product, will affect this pharmacological process, so they should not be used together. ⑦ When used together with pepsin mixture and multi-enzyme tablets, it can reduce the activity of pepsin and amylase. ⑧ When taken in large quantities, aluminum hydroxide can adsorb bile salts, thereby reducing the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, especially vitamin A. ⑨ When used together with levodopa, the absorption of the latter may increase, especially in those with slow gastric emptying. ⑩ When used with valproic acid, the absorption of the latter can increase the F/V absorption part/distribution volume, and the bioavailability can be increased. Antacids are commonly used in clinical practice to relieve the common gastrointestinal reactions of valproic acid, and close observation is required at this time. Whether there are symptoms and signs of valproic acid poisoning, 11 When used with aspirin, the renal clearance of aspirin can be significantly increased due to urine alkalinization. 12 When used with quinidine, the excretion of the latter can be reduced due to urine alkalinization. Urine pH and quinidine blood concentration should be measured to prevent poisoning. 13 When used with various enteric-coated tablets (such as enteric-coated aspirin, etc.), the enteric coating can be dissolved in the stomach in advance, which has a stimulating effect on the stomach and duodenum. ○14 When this product is used in combination with drugs containing acidic ingredients (such as vitamin C and schisandra syrup, etc.), acid-base neutralization reactions may occur, affecting the efficacy of both.
