Laccase

Instruction:Laccase is a copper-containing polyphenol oxidase, which generally exists in the form of dimer or tetramer. Laccase was first discovered by Yoshi, a Japanese scholar, in the lacquer liquid of the purple rubber tree, and later found in fungi, bacteria and insects. At the end of the 19th century, G. B. Etranel separated it for the first time as the active substance of raw lacquer curing, and named it laccase. The main sources of laccase in nature are plant laccase, animal laccase and microbial laccase. Microbial laccases are divided into bacterial laccases and fungal laccases. Bacterial laccases are mainly secreted from the inside of the cell, while fungal laccases are mainly distributed outside the cell and are the most studied species at present. Although plant laccases play important roles in lignocellulosic synthesis and resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses, the structure and mechanism of plant laccases have been unknown.
