Scopolamine is one of the most pharmacological alkaloids in Belladonna. It can be used to block parasympathetic nerve, and can also be used as a central nervous system inhibitor. Its effect is similar to that of belladonna base, but stronger and more short-lived. Clinical use is generally its hydrobromide, can be used for anesthesia analgesia, cough, asthma, motion sickness effective, can also be used to control Parkinson's disease stiffness and tremor.
