      Product Detail

Water soluble: PVA molecules contain a large number of hydroxyl groups and are highly soluble in water.

Its solubility increases with the increase of water temperature, only expands in cold water (low alcoholysis products can slowly dissolve in normal water),can be completely dissolved in hot water, its aqueous solution has good' film formation and cohesiveness.

Thermal stability: PVA series products soften when heated, there is no significant change below 40'c, over 160'C for a long time heating will gradually color, above 220°C decomposition, production of water, ,

Chemical resistance: PVA series products are almost unaffected by weak acid, weak bae or organic solvent, oil resistance is very high.

Storage stability, PVA series products have good stability, no mildew, no deterioration, no moisture absorption in the natural dry state of long-term storage.

PVA is a polymer with a secondary hydroxyl group.

The secondary hydroxyl group in the PVA formula has high activity and can carry out typical chemical reactions similar to low molecular alcohol such as esterification, etherification,  ization, etc. and also react with many inorganic and organic compounds lt is non-toxic to humans and animals and can degrade naturally. lt is called green product.

Storage and transportation conditions and market applications

    (1) Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is a white, stable, and harmless water-soluble polymer made by polymerization and alcoholysis of vinyl acetate. It can quickly dissolve in water to form a stable colloid, and water is its good solvent.

    (2) Polyvinyl alcohol resin (PVA) aqueous solution has good film-forming and emulsifying properties. The formed film has abnormal adhesion, solvent resistance, friction resistance, tensile strength, and oxygen resistance. Polyvinyl alcohol resin (PVA) has both hydrophilic and hydrophobic functional groups, making it a substance with interfacial activity. Therefore, it can be used as a protective colloid for polymer emulsification and suspension polymerization reactions.

3、Polyvinyl alcohol resin (PVA) is mainly used in the production of synthetic fibers, plastics, adhesives, coatings, new building materials and other products, and is widely used in industries and fields such as chemical, textile, printing and papermaking, leather making, and construction.

polyvinyl alcohol(PVA series products have complete independent independent property rights and technologies. The main raw material. Vinyl acetate (VAM)is produced through three process routes, namely calcium carbide acetylene process, biomass ethylene proces and petroleum ethylene process (underconstruction).

Inner Mongolia Mengwei Technology Co .Ltd. affiliated to Wanwei Group, is the largest PVA production base in the word PVA s made from VAM produced by calcium carbide acetylene method, methanol as solvent and peroxide as initiator through polymerization, low alkali alcoholysis and other processes. The annual production capacity reaches 200000 tons, and more than 40 kinds of products with different polymerization decrees and alcoholysis degrees can be produced in batches.

Guangxi Wanwei Biomass Technology Co,LTD,affiliated to Wanwei Group, has built the world's first biomass VAC and PVA

production plant by utilizing biomass resources such as sugar cane and following the line of alcohol-ethylene-PVA and other derivative products. The annual output of biomass PVA is 50,000 tons and the products are highly friendly to human body and environment.

    Air and Water Reactions:

    Water soluble.

    Reactive Group:

    Alcohols and Polyols

    Reactivity Profile:

Mixtures of alcohols with concentrated sulfuric acid and strong hydrogen peroxide can cause explosions. Example: an explosion will occur if dimethylbenzylcarbinol is added to 90% hydrogen peroxide then acidified with concentrated sulfuric acid. Mixtures of ethyl alcohol with concentrated hydrogen peroxide form powerful explosives. Mixtures of hydrogen peroxide and 1-phenyl-2-methyl propyl alcohol tend to explode if acidified with 70% sulfuric acid [Chem. Eng. News 45(43):73. 1967; J, Org. Chem. 28:1893. 1963]. Alkyl hypochlorites are violently explosive. They are readily obtained by reacting hypochlorous acid and alcohols either in aqueous solution or mixed aqueous- carbon tetrachloride solutions. Chlorine plus alcohols would similarly yield alkyl hypochlorites. They decompose in the cold and explode on exposure to sunlight or heat. Tertiary hypochlorites are less unstable than secondary or primary hypochlorites [NFPA 491 M 1991]. Base-catalysed reactions of isocyanates with alcohols should be carried out in inert solvents. Such reactions in the absence of solvents often occur with explosive violence [Wischmeyer 1969].

    Physical Dangers:

Dust explosion possible if in powder or granular form, mixed with air. As a result of flow, agitation, etc., electrostatic charges can be generated.
