Properties:
1. lithium hexafluorophosphate is colorless crystal, easily absorb moisture.
2. It will decompose under high temperature to produce toxic fluoride and hexafluorophosphorus gas.

White crystal or powder, relative density 1. 50, strong deliquescence; soluble in water, also soluble in low concentrations of propanol, carbonate and other organic solvents. Decomposed when exposed to air or heated.

Application

1. Lithium hexafluorophosphate is widely used in lithium ion batteries as electrolyte, high energy density batteries and energy storage systems.
2. It can also be used as electrochemical polishing agent for aluminum, tanning agent, polymerization catalyst and so on.
