    Sodium stannate trihydrate, with the chemical formula Na2SnO3 · 3H2O, is an important inorganic compound. Its molecular weight is 266.73 and its CAS number is 12209-98-2. Sodium stannate trihydrate usually appears as colorless hexagonal plate-like crystals or white powder, soluble in water but insoluble in alcohols and acetone


    1. Mainly used for electroplating alkaline industries for tin and copper plating, as well as electroplating and chemical plating of tin alloys, zinc tin alloys, aluminum alloys and other alloys.

    2. Used as a fire retardant and weight enhancer in the textile industry.

    3. Used as a mordant in the printing and dyeing industry.

    4. It is also used in industries such as glass and ceramics.
