Reactive Black 31 Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Use 3-carboxy-1-(p-sulfophenyl)-5-pyrazolone, gamma acid, and 2-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-(β-sulfate ethylsulfonyl)aniline as raw materials. First, diazotize γ acid and couple it with 3-carboxy-1-(p-sulfophenyl)-5-pyrazolone, and then combine 2-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-(β-sulfate ethyl Sulfonyl) aniline is diazotized, coupled with the aforementioned coupling product for the second time, and then copper sulfate is added to complex the product. After salting out, filtering and drying, the finished product is obtained.

Uses

Reactive black RL is used for dyeing cotton and viscose fibers, from red light gray to black.
