Methods of Manufacturing

Obtained by β-hydroxyethyl urea through nitrosation, cyclization and reduction. The aqueous solution of β-hydroxyethyl urea and sodium nitrite were mixed, cooled to 0-3°C, added dropwise to hydrochloric acid, and the temperature was kept below 28°C. After the addition, the temperature was raised to 40-45°C and the reaction was conducted for half an hour. Cool down to 0-3°C, and then add sodium nitrite solution dropwise. Add crushed ice to cool to -20℃, add iron powder to react for half an hour, filter, and the filtrate is 3-amino-2-oxazolidinone aqueous solution.

Uses

A metabolite of Furazolidone and Nitrofuran.
