The fifth Fair arrived as promised, manyinternational chemical giants deeply involved
It is reported that a total of 284 Fortune500 and industry leaders participated in the corporate exhibition at the 5thChina International Import Expo held in Shanghai. A number of internationalchemical giants, such as Costco, Evonik, Merck, Heraeus, 3M, Freudenberg, AirProducts, etc., all showcased new technologies, products and services at theExpo, joining hands with partners from all walks of life to share newopportunities for open cooperation and win a sustainable future of innovation.

According to Sun Chenghai, deputy directorof China International Import Expo Bureau, there are 145 countries, regions andinternational organizations exhibiting at this year's Fair, with a moreoptimized structure and stronger representation. Enterprises from 127 countriesand regions participated in the Enterprise Business Exhibition, 66 countriesand 3 international organizations appeared in the National ComprehensiveExhibition, the number of both exceeded the previous session. A total of 284 ofthe world's top 500 and industry leaders participated in the corporateexhibition, more than the previous one, with a turnaround rate of nearly 90%.
Among them, the Regional ComprehensiveEconomic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) member countries have exhibitors, and thenumber of countries along the "Belt and Road" and SCO exhibitors alsoincreased compared with the last session. Nicaragua, Djibouti, Mauritania,Comoros, Mozambique, Congo (Gold), Iraq, Iceland 8 countries will participatein the national exhibition for the first time. "After five years ofdevelopment, the Fair has become the first place for global new products, thefirst place for cutting-edge technologies, and the first place for innovativeservices." Sun Chenghai said.
Earlier, the Ministry of Commerce spokesmanShuang Jue-ting said that as the world's first import-themed nationalexhibition, in the past five years, the Fair has played the role of four majorplatforms for international procurement, investment promotion, humanitiesexchange and open cooperation, becoming a window for building a new developmentpattern, a carrier for high-level opening and a stage for multilateralism. TheFair has helped China's high-quality economic development, provided theinternational community with important international public goods, and activelycontributed to the recovery of the global economy, winning widespread praise athome and abroad.
On November 5, 3M China Ltd. and WestfieldSmart Supply Chain (Shanghai) JSC held a cooperation signing ceremony at theFair. The two sides will cooperate deeply in supply chain integration, demandforecasting, delivery digitization and marketing.
