With a total investment of over $200million, INNEX announces the expansion of its HDPE production capacity
ORIX O&P Europe recently announced an investment of €30 million(approximately RMB 220 million) to renovate its Lillo plant in the Port ofAntwerp to enable its current capacity to produce single- or double-peak gradesof high-density polyethylene (HDPE) to meet the strong demand for high-endapplications in the market.
This investment will also enable Inglis to meet the growing demand forapplications that are critical to the new energy economy, as it leverages itsproprietary technology to strengthen its position as a leading supplier in thehigh-density pressure piping market.
Examples include: pressure pipeline networks for the transportation ofhydrogen; long-distance underground cable pipeline networks for wind farms andother forms of renewable energy transportation; electrification infrastructure;and carbon dioxide capture, transportation and storage processes.
The unique combination of properties offered by Inglis Twin Peaks HDPEpolymers means that many of these products can be safely installed and operatedfor at least 50 years. They also provide a more efficient, lower-emissionssolution for transporting critical utilities and goods between European cities.
This investment also demonstrates ORIX O&P Europe's commitment to athriving circular economy.
The upgrade will increase production of highly engineered polymers atthe Lillo plant, which INEOS combines with recycled plastic waste to form theRecycl-IN line, enabling processors and brand owners to produce products thatmeet consumers' needs for greater use of recycled materials, while continuingto deliver the high-performance specifications they expect.
