Givaudan subsidiary Naturex launches fermented zinc ingredients
Naturalx, a natural raw material company under Givaudan, has launched a new product, Ultimine™ Zinc (Ultimine™ Zinc), expanding its Japanese koji mineral product portfolio.
Ultimine™ Zinc was jointly developed by Naturex and Cura Global Health of Iowa, USA, and can be used in supplements, food and beverages. The raw material is available in two forms, powder and granules, and is suitable for tablets, capsules and chewing gum.
Naturex claims that Ultimine™ zinc meets the requirements for non-GMO, Kosher neutral food, halal and vegan labels, and is the perfect complement to its Ultimine series. Earlier, the company had launched Ultimine™ iron and Ultimine™ Multi 7.
Ultimine™ zinc is produced using Cura's patented global health fermentation process, containing 11 mg of zinc per 200 mg. During the production process, Japanese sake brewing biomass combined with food-grade zinc to obtain dried biomass, which is rich in protein and can naturally wrap zinc elements. Naturex said that the product was launched to meet the rising consumer demand for mineral raw materials derived from fully nutritious foods.
