ECHEMI 2020-08-20

Nestlé Health Sciences will acquire IM HealthScience, a US manufacturer of medical food and dietary supplements.

On August 18th, Nestlé announced that its subsidiary Nestle Health Science will acquire IM HealthScience, a US manufacturer of medical food and dietary supplements, and its brands IBgard®, FDgard®, Fiber Choice® and REMfresh®.

Greg Behar, Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Health Sciences, said: "IMH's products provide reliable solutions for dietary management of specific digestive problems. Its goal of using cutting-edge life sciences and world-class research to develop health solutions is consistent with our goal of improving health through nutrition. A perfect fit."

IMH's IBgard® and FDgard® solutions are used for dietary management of irritable bowel syndrome and functional dyspepsia, respectively. In 2017, IMH acquired the new fiber product line FiberChoice®, which is a sleep supplement that continuously releases and absorbs melatonin (CRA-melatonin).
