The United States exempts residue limits for malic acid

According to the Federal Register, on January 25, 2023, the EPA issued Regulation 2023-01155, exempting the residue limit of malic acid.

 
According to regulations, malic acid is exempted from the residue limit when it is used as an inert component (buffer and stabilizer) in growing crops.
 
This rule is effective as of January 25, 2023, and requests for objections or hearings must be filed by March 27, 2023.
