Bayer launches Luna®Pro, a new fungicide for potato
Bayer has launched Luna®Pro, a premium-mixed fungicide designed to control both leaf and soil-borne diseases in potatoes
Luna®Pro, as the newest addition to Bayer's potato portfolio, uses the Prothioconazole and Fluopyram. DMI works by blocking fungal development at the cellular level, helping to improve plant health and increase yield potential. Luna®Pro is Bayer's first DMI-containing foliar fungicide for potatoes.
Two proven combinations of active ingredients, FRAC group 7 and FRAC group 3, are effective against potato early blight, white mildew and other key diseases. Prothioconazole provides a second mode of action that increases flexibility and improves resistance management. Luna®Pro utilizes a combination of the system's active ingredients to provide crop protection.
Ryan Allen, =product manager for Bayer's Fungicides and Biologics for Fruits and Vegetables, said: "Luna®Pro is a powerful potato fungicide that helps growers combat disease problems that affect crop yields, and we are excited to add Luna®Pro to Bayer's portfolio of effective 75-day pest Management products as a new solution for potato growers."
